The season table has its own special place. This is a kind of festive corner, which is decorated with various items – depending on the season or time of the holiday. In the summer, it can be wildflowers, in the fall, during the harvest festival, the fruits of the earth. These are not only pumpkins and squash, but also ears of wheat or rye brought from the field. At Christmas, a manger and a Christmas star appear here, and in the spring – a pot with seeds sown in it.
It should be noted the educational and cultural significance of this festive corner. If the entire room of the group has some functional, “pragmatic” connection and serves “something”, then the presence of a festive place in the room, to which children cannot just walk up and start playing with the objects on the festive table, teaches children respect and restraint. For example, flowers in a beautiful fragile vase can be placed on the festive table. This vase can break – and children, even when they are very enthusiastic about their free play, will never use it as a toy.
