Olena Mykolaivna IONOVA “EEC “SCHOOL OF FREE DEVELOPMENT” – THE FIRST WALDORF SCHOOL IN SLOBOZHAN REGION”
The history of the Kharkiv Waldorf school. In Ukraine, Waldorf institutions began to appear in the early 90s. The path to the event of the opening of the first Waldorf school in Kharkiv, which began with reading photocopied, often self-published tests on Waldorf pedagogy, from the first introductory seminars through in-depth analysis and comparison with world and domestic pedagogy, through attempts to introduce Waldorf teaching methods in individual school classes, similar to many biographies of other Waldorf initiatives that arose in Ukraine in the post-Soviet era.
Just as all Ukrainian Waldorf pedagogues, teachers and educators of the “School of Free Development” learned and are learning real, not declared self-government – collegial management of the school, that is, they jointly discuss and make decisions on all pedagogical and economic issues of school life.
